Brits and Germans regularly spend holidays in Costa del Sol. But if you want, you can go off track to find some calm beaches. Second would be the country of Portugal. Meia Praia is particularly popular with families because it is protected by a large bay near Alvor Praia Praia da Rocha / Portimao.

Alentejo – Stretching from the Algarve to the Sado Estuary this rugged coastline has many small beaches to from which to choose. Most of them are located in coves along the coast in which you need to hire a car for you to be able to reach them. Vila Nova de Milfontes is an exception since it can be accessed by bus from Lisbon. Other beaches that would be great to visit are Gale Melides, Santo Andr, Porto Covo, and Almograve Zambujeira do Mar.

Lisbon or Sintra Coast – The popular resort of Lisbon is mainly occupied by Costa da Caparica a large sandy beach which is very busy and very popular especially during the summer in Portugal. It is popular for sunbathing, enjoying the cafes and bars and surfing as well. The Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is one of the 13 Natural Parks of Portugal. Puerto Rico Places to Go

Favorite Beaches of Puerto Rico – The 5 regions of Puerto Rican islands are a Caribbean treasure. The North Side and the city of San Juan are filled with historic sites, beaches, lagoons, lakes, caves and forests. While in the East, you will find fabulous golden beaches, golf courses, nature reserves and spectacular underwater reefs and cays. The central areas climate is renowned for its coffee. The aroma and taste of an Arabic coffee warms the heart of many coffee drinkers since it was first produced there in around 1736. The area is also rich in archaeological sites and home of two of the world’s famous botanical gardens. Puerto Rico is also blessed with its share of fantastic beaches. Most of the striking beaches in Puerto Rico are not really part of its main island. But rather, you can find these beaches on islands off the main coast. The beaches of Puerto Rio are a traditional, tropical paradise rather than being overcrowded and touristy. Below are my most favorite beaches in Puerto Rico.

Mona Island – This island is on top of my list because of its incomparable ecosystem, and other than that, there are no hotels to spoil the view of the very beautiful surroundings. Mona Island is often referred to as the Galapagos Islands of the Caribbean. This is because you can find lots of bizarre species wandering inland and water openly. Because of this, the island is closed to tourists during hunting season which is usually January through April. If you want to tour the island exclusively, you’ll need permits from the Natural Resources and Environment department, and they only offer this during the months of May to November.

Coco Beach – Coco Beach is not as mysterious as the island of Mona, but does share some similar characteristics. It provides persistent stretches of unspoiled beach and you’ll find the color contrast between the green sand and vibrant blue sea spectacular.

Shacks Beach – Shacks Beach is located on Isabela and is also known for its spectacular waters that provide the best scuba diving, surfing and windsurfing in Puerto Rico. Kiteboarding is a very popular sport off Shacks Beach as well. For relaxing after your adventure with the rip currents, the sleepy coconut palms in line at the beach are also a place ideal for napping. What is particularly attractive about the beaches of Puerto Rico is that most of the islands are secluded. Visitor here treasure the quiet separation from the outside world as soothing and memorable.

But of course not everything in Puerto Rico is about seclusion, there are lots of wonderful and fun-filled activities you can do in Puerto Rico. This island is known worldwide for not only its pristine beaches but also because for its ample opportunities for recreational water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, diving and surfing. Parasailing – The good thing about parasailing is that you get to see the beautiful surroundings in a different way. It’s like taking a balloon ride. It’s very exciting to be pulled from the edges of the beach. Jet Skis – If you want to feel an incredible adrenaline rush, ride jet skis and cleave the waves of the ocean at 30 km per hour. Jet Ski rentals are available in most ports on the beaches of Puerto Rico. You should visit the cove known as Taurito when jet skiing. Surfing – Surfing is another sport that you can enjoy during your vacation in Puerto Rico. There’s even a surf school in Puerto Rico near the beaches that offer professional training for aspiring surfers. Most surfing activities in Puerto Rico will take place in the north of the island as Pozo Izquierdo and Las Canteras in Las Palmas. Diving – The crystal clear waters of the Canary Islands are very ideal for divers. Scuba diving is one sport enjoyed by locals and tourists all year round. One of the established dive shops to visit is the Top Dive located in Puerto Escala.

The beautiful scenery, rich culture and vast history give a sensual feast to visitors. The country is very easy to discover, since even the most distant areas can be travelled for in 3 hours. Each activity you’ll do in Puerto Rico can help you uncover the history of every place and culture as well as understand every people you’ll meet.

Beach Blankets Make Perfect Gifts

* With the plethora of choices in both blankets and towel selection (especially by online retailers). How do you know what your choosing when it comes to needing a beach blanket? You may decide there are more occasions than just a day at the beach. Consider where, who, what and when and you’ll have the answer this question.

* There’s a Beach Blanket for Every Occasion – The obvious differences in beach towels and bath towels can be observed in the quality of fabric, design and especially the size as beach towels are usually larger than a regular bath towel. However, the largest of these and infinitely more versatile is a beach blanket. With a beach blanket, you will be amazed at the variety of uses beyond a beach towel. These make a perfect gift for any occasion and are invaluable at the beach or any outdoor activity. So for your indoor uses and outdoor trips, there’s a beach blanket for the job.

* Measuring at least 70 x 70 inches and larger, a beach blanket is big enough to use as a cover spread for queen sized beds or even as a bed sheet if needed. It is also ideal as a cover spread on your deck or patio where you can play board games and cards during weekends with your family and friends. It has additional functionality as an outside spread on the ground and use as a mat to sit with small children or enjoy a picnic in the park.

* The beach blanket may be the newest addition to your basic beach essentials. With multi-functional features, there is so much you can do with a beach blanket versus your personal beach towel. Some beach blankets have corner “pockets” which may be weighted with sand or small stones; others have grommets to be used with a beach stakes. The corner pockets are ideal for storing your beach essentials like sunscreens, toys, water bottles and personal items. It can also be use as an overhead cover during noon when the heat of the sun is at its peak. You can tie rope or twine along the four edges and brace it upon a tree or a post for shelter from sun or wind.

* Beach blankets are made from a variety of materials, suitable for any number of activities. Absorbent cotton, repellant nylon and even marine grade canvas beach blankets can be found. Ideal sizes are 70″ X 70″ and larger depending on your need (and how many may need a seat!) It’s a wise idea to have several for all the places you “never thought you would need one”! The trunk of the car, boat cabin, camper, backpack and beach bag are all ideal, just to name a few. These are machine washable, with the heavier blankets requiring a commercial washer. Consider a beach blanket as a perfect anytime gift for anyone on your list.

Visit California’s Coast

California Coast – There are lots of beautiful places to go for a vacation near the coast of California. San Francisco seems to have the best weather throughout the year, with everything being temperate. Their summers are hot and dry and winters are a bit cold, however, not all areas are the same. San Francisco is also home to Silicon Valley, where many of the IT companies and private investors are based. San Francisco’s landmarks are the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown. All of these are part of the city’s main tourist attractions.

San Francisco is also home to several universities which deserve a visit as well. Stanford of course, Berkeley, St. Mary’s College and Santa Clara University have made this area sought after for the higher learning potential. Well known for its liberal views on all issues, including gay rights, San Fran is sought after for anyone seeking tolerance and acceptance. This made the city a kind of sanctuary for liberalism.

San Diego is another great place to visit. This is the eighth-largest city in the United States and second-largest city in California, after Los Angeles. With the warmer days and mild evenings, San Diego is easy to adjust to as well as being known for its cuisine, relatively low crime rate, and coastal and friendly attitude. A warning though, the city has the strictest policy on driving under the influence. In fact, there are DUI attorneys in San Diego, whose job it is to prevent people from being convicted of DUI offenses. Due to the strict enforcement of this regulation, the city is also less prone to incidents of DUI.

San Diego’s climate, beaches and abundant tourist attraction make tourism one of the key industries. You’ll not want to miss Balboa Park, Belmont Amusement Park, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park and Sea World San Diego (my personal favorite!). San Diego’s Spanish influence is reflected in the many historic sites across the city, such as: Mission San Diego de Alcala and Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Annual events in San Diego include: Comic-Con, Buick Invitational Golf tournament, San Diego/Del Mar Fair, San Diego Black Film Festival, and the Street Scene Music Festival.

Another popular destination is Los Angeles, because of Hollywood and numerous theme parks. Sun, celebrities, concerts, shopping, surfing and fun! Disneyland, Magic Mountain and Universal Studios are some of the attractions found in the county of Los Angeles. Also known as Tinsel Town, given the number of film studios here, many actors and actresses are based here or if not, have second homes here. It is a place where status seems to be the standard for actors and actresses. Some of the most enjoyable activities you can do here are: Drive down Mulholland Drive and view the city from the top of the mountains. Dance the night away at their several night clubs. Drive down to the coast and watch in awe the majestic Pacific Ocean. Perhaps the sheer excitement of meeting a celebrity may be enough for you. In any case, Los Angeles is certainly an important destination and contrary to popular belief it is possible to spend a holiday here on a budget.

The majestic California coastline is 500-plus miles from Dana Point in the south to Leggett in northern Cali. A drive along the coast is itself a wonderful destination vacation so don’t rush it. Plan to spend at least 2 days driving and sight-seeing. The destinations along this route will require their own share of time to properly respect all the coast has to offer. A vacation to any of the cities or beaches will be another chapter or two in your travel journal.

Rio Beaches

Rio Beaches Worth Visiting- The beaches of Rio by nature’s design and status are outstanding. The landscapes offer waves for surfers and serene beaches with emerald coves for memory making vacations. The Brazilian coastline lays thousands of beaches that are globally renowned for its attractive sand dunes stretching their way to the sea, their rows of coconut trees along the sandy coast, long stretches of black, white, red and bright shimmering sands, and colorful corals.

Ipanema is near Copacabana Beach, but it is different from its neighbor. One of its assets is its private infrastructure that has created world-class restaurants, shops and cafes. Ipanema is one of the most luxurious places to live in Rio de Janeiro. You will become accustomed to different kinds of surfers and sun lovers at the beach. Every Sunday, the nearest road to the beach is closed to motor vehicles for local residents and tourists to enjoy the bikes, skates, skateboards, and walk along the ocean. Ipanema Beach is known for its elegance and social characteristics. Two mountains called Dois Irmos which means Two Brothers rise to the west end of the beach, and are divided by segments that are marks as “postos” or lifeguard towers. Beer is sold everywhere on the beach in a traditional cachaca. There are always circles of people playing soccer, volleyball, and footvolley. Footvolley, if you are not familiar with the term is a combination of volleyball and football that originated in Brazil. An exciting thing about Ipanema Beach is that there is an area called the Gay Beach, located in the area near lifeguard tower 9, close to the street of Farme de Amoedo, it’s a gay friendly area symbolized by a rainbow flag flying in the air. Aside from this, just west of this colorful section and towards Leblon is another popular stretch of sand known as Post 10, where young hipsters and often beautiful Carioca and women gather.

Copacabana – First in our minds when thinking of Brazilian beaches, Copacabana and the hotel it was named for are situated on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. This four kilometers strip of beach offers a lively menu of activities and astonishing sights. Swimming in blue waters, sunbathing on the sun-baked sand, kicking around a soccer field in a soccer game or volleyball game on the beach, all of these can be done here. This beach was named for the prominent and most distinguished Copacabana Palace Hotel which opened in 1920 and still attracts the rich and famous from all over the world. The attractiveness of the large white sand beach, the friendly people, the all night parties, the beauties in bikinis, sumptuous restaurants, bars and music clubs and night clubs, all at very reasonable prices, are just few good reasons why a vacation in Copacabana is more than just a day at the beach!

Leblon Beach is also near Ipanema. It has the same diverse atmosphere, but much less crowded and family oriented. This beach is very popular with female tourists and families because of its sense of comfort and safety. Leblon is a peaceful retreat without sacrificing comfort. Your children may experience the playground Baixo Baby Leblon, which is a well-stocked playground for children to enjoy the beach on their own terms. What is not very popular among the tourist is the place at the end of Leblon that is called “satemo ceu” or “Seventh Heaven”. The view is from a huge granite rock with a spectacular view of beaches and mountains. For safety purposes, directions are not provided here as the zone can be a bit rough and you might get lost. Local taxi drivers know the way and it’s really worth visiting.

The beaches of Rio have their own charms and travelers should embrace the culture of this area as well. Most of these beaches are easily accessible by public transport; a few are very remote, isolated, untouched and unspoiled by human hands. I can assure you that you’ll love every beach destination you choose since all of them have their own sense of history and appeal.

Wonder Wheelers

Beach Carts, A Must Have Beach Essential – With the promise of a weekend at the beach being something kids of all ages appreciate, the next word connected would be fun or in my case – CART. How to cart all the loads of beach gear and accessories including, chairs, umbrella, skim boards, beach bags full of more beach stuff, such as beach blankets, beach towels and sand toys. Then there’s the cooler and a basket full of food and perhaps even a portable barbeque. No problem at all. The solution is a Wonder Wheeler Beach Cart and the party mood continues at full swing. A good quality beach cart is one that has strong maneuverable wheels and high-load capacity. Carts with more flexible tires and wider wheels can withstand heavier loads. The best tires are those made from polyurethane plastic which are puncture resistant and have high tensile strength.

* There is no easier and more comfortable way to start your beach party than having all your personal stuff and beach accessories carried on a dependable beach cart from your car to your favorite beach spot. Rio Beach has been offering beach carts for 20+ years in various load capacities. These carts are even more useful with an increased load capacity compared to the other beach carts; you can load your best gear and portable table with four beach chairs together along with all the other stuff in one trip. No more back and forth to the car for something you might need.

* In choosing a Wonder Wheeler Beach Cart I recommend looking for the wider more flexible tires which evenly distribute the load so it will maneuver on the sand better; tires made from polyurethane plastic are also more robust and puncture-resistant thus more durable and strong; choose also a beach cart which has stronger load capacity. The Wonder Wheeler with wide wheels is the better option for beach use. For sidewalk or indoor use only, the Wonder Wheeler Deluxe with regular wheels is perfect.

* Two of the most recommended and very popular Wonder Wheeler models are: DELUXE WIDE WHEEL WONDER WHEELER offering high-level load capacity up to 100lbs; 15 cubic feet of storage compartments in various pouches, also included is a removable tote bag for shopping or gathering; Wide frontal wheels measuring 4.5″ wide providing better maneuverability; flexible and easy to maneuver wheels on most terrain and does not sink in sand; Can haul a full-size cooler, four beach chairs, umbrella (in the attached umbrella holder) and other beach gear all at the same time.

* And the DELUXE WONDER WHEELER BEACH CART, a must have beach essential for beach lovers. It has two casters 4.5 inch wide front providing greater maneuverability on any surface. It has an umbrella holder; the cargo area and handle are cushioned for more comfortable usage, the removable tote bag allows you to gather your gear when the day is done or is especially useful for shopping. It shares the same features and functional philosophy as that of a baby stroller. The huge 10 inches back wheels are strong enough to handle sudden breaks and wind and does not topple easily. This model offers: Removable umbrella holder and tote storage bags and pockets; Increased loading capacity up to 100 lbs; Improved maneuvering wheels with swivel features, and easy to push and pull; Foldable for easy storage and can be packed neatly even into small spaces like a car trunk; easy to assemble. Don’t allow your fun-filled beach party mood to be ruined by your heavy load and the tiring tasks of transporting it from the car to your favorite beach spot. Look into the many beach cart options available online.

Are you dreaming of a stunning wedding party?

Are you wrapped in thought of a outstanding wedding ceremony? You thought you saw it in your sweet dreams but you cannot keep in mind your dream to express it to other people. In other words you know you want to have a good wedding ceremony, but you don’t know where to get started. Starting to get ideas on the cyberspace could always be a very good place to start. There are lots of service internet sites that render you with pictures of their example decorations just like www.SeattleWedding.ca . However, getting tips on the web and then employing them in to your situation could be a tough process.

You may want to commence questioning yourself some standard preparation question. If you are like the majority of people, savings would be the most significant challenge. How much do you have saved up for your big event? If the answer is not enough, you will need to set a realistic dollar amount and develop a program to save that amount.

The factor that will impact your allowance the most is number of guest you are planning to have. What kind of dinner are you dreaming to have at your big event? How would it be served, buffet style or you will have it served restaurant style. Next aspect that will have a significant effect on your checkbook would be the location of your event. Will your picked location demand you to travel? Will you have your reception at the same place as your rehearsal? Will you have a professional filming company and skilled photographer capture pictures and video of your dream wedding? Will you hire a limo a helicopter or will you ride a bus? Will you have a high end decorator and florist to do all the decoration and flowers for your wedding? And last and not least, are you going to hire a expert adviser so called a hired planner of the wedding? As you see planning a big event and dreaming of one are totally two different things, although every thing starts with a dream. But the subject is – how do you make your dream a reality especially when you are on a tight budget.

I advise after getting some concepts from internet you write down all the things you would like to have on your wedding event. After you have a complete list, try to order items on your list on the scale of 1-5, 1 being the most crucial. Rewrite your list with most crucial factors on the top of the list and the less imperative toward the bottom. When done go through your checklist and put a price tag next to each item. Subsequent try to think of lesser price other options for high price items. For instance you may think about doing a big event in your backyard, your friends’ yard or at the church that you attend instead of an expensive hotel. You may possibly consider asking your friend who has a really nice sedan car to drive you instead of hiring a limo.

Whatever you decide, just never forget one thing – your wedding is one of the most central events of your life.

What To Expect From A Triathlon Coach

A quality triathlon coach must have a lot of experience racing. They can then use this experience to help others. A good coach will also have worked with individuals of varying abilities and succeeded in properly training them. This personal experience mixed with the ability to use it to benefit others is a crucial quality for a coach.

The first thing a good coach should do is determine if their student is familiar with the race. The race typically involves swimming, cycling, and running, one immediately following the other. Variations of distances do occur depending on the event. Therefore, if a trainee has already registered for a specific event, he or she should find out the exact details. This will hope the coach come up with a more exact plan.

After this, the trainee will need their fitness level measured. Someone without an endurance sports background will receive different training than someone who has already competed in long races. Training is designed to take into account the potential of each individual. The starting level, pace of work, and final goal are all determined on a case to case basis.

There are also other factors which affect training plans. These include time, motivation and energy. Individuals who work out daily need a different routine than those who can only work a few times a week. This has nothing to do with differences in ability, only convenience and scheduling flexibility. A parent with a full time job may have less energy as well as time to devote to training.

All of these things must be taken into consideration when devising a long term schedule. This schedule will include workouts in the pool, on the bike path, and on the track. Because three different elements are included in the race, each needs to be built on and improved.

Schedules should include short germ goals that track progress for each element. Speed and endurance should be continually measured. Workouts will vary in intensity and distance and will work on improving both over time. A nice balance is needed to gain the most benefit while avoiding activity related injury.

Coaches need to know the triathlon well, and to impart this knowledge on to those they train. With their trainees, they should come up with a unique program that meets their individual needs. Combining exercises and workouts in a long term schedule, individuals should then be properly prepared to meet their goals.
