There are specific ways of placing your hands, and a specific speed of movement. This is something you do not want to try, unless you’ve been trained.

This is not something you should try doing no matter how good your motive unless you’ve been trained. There are precise ways of doing this resuscitation technique that must be drilled into a responder until they have it right. It does not cost that much to be trained and it’s not a huge investment of time. You might save someone’s life.
