A good coach will also have worked with individuals of varying abilities and succeeded in properly training them. This personal experience mixed with the ability to use it to benefit others is a crucial quality for a coach.</p>
<p>The first thing a good coach should do is determine if their student is familiar with the race. The race typically involves swimming, cycling, and running, one immediately following the other. Variations of distances do occur depending on the event. Therefore, if a trainee has already registered for a specific event, he or she should find out the exact details. This will hope the coach come up with a more exact plan.</p>
<p>After this, the trainee will need their fitness level measured. Someone without an endurance sports background will receive different training than someone who has already competed in long races. Training is designed to take into account the potential of each individual. The starting level, pace of work, and final goal are all determined on a case to case basis.</p>
<p>There are also other factors which affect training plans. These include time, motivation and energy. Individuals who work out daily need a different routine than those who can only work a few times a week. <p>Coaches need to know the triathlon well, and to impart this knowledge on to those they train. With their trainees, they should come up with a unique program that meets their individual needs. Combining exercises and workouts in a long term schedule, individuals should then be properly prepared to meet their goals.</p>
